Fashion flocks to Bielany – Solar to open in Galeria Młociny
Fashion flocks to Bielany – Solar to open in Galeria Młociny

The Polish high-end fashion brand joined the tenants of the shopping and entertainment complex which is under construction in Warsaw’s Bielany district. Solar, which famous for its ability to combine an elegant and very feminine style of the collection with the top quality fabrics, will occupy 130 sqm. The store will be designed according to the latest concept of the brand. The opening of Galeria Młociny is planned for the spring of 2019.

Fashion – as well as gastronomy, entertainment and recreation – will be one of the hallmarks of Galeria Młociny, which is under construction in the vicinity of the transport hub in Warsaw"s Bielany district. Its list of tenants will be joined by the Solar brand, which has been part of the history of Polish fashion for more than three decades. Its latest Warsaw store will be located on the first floor of the complex, in the Fashion Avenue – a metropolitan indoor promenade with the best fashion stores. The store will be kept in the aesthetics of minimalism. Two contrasting zones – a light one and a dark one – will be complemented by monochromatic, elegant colour palettes and interesting arrangement elements made of e.g. brass sheet metal. The entirety will provide the interior with an elegant character. The concept presented last year is the result of cooperation between Solar"s department of architecture and the Moomoo Architects studio. “Solar took into account not only the potential of the location and excellent transport links of Galeria Młociny with the city and towns located north of Warsaw, but it also appreciated the opportunities offered by the presence the Fashion Avenue. Solar as well as other tenants located on the first floor will have a lot of room so as to be able to create an impressive, 7.5-metre-tall, spacious storefronts that will be visible from every floor,” says Karolina Prędota-Krystek, a senior leasing manager in Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. In Bielany Solar will be in a good company of more than 220 stores of recognizable and respected brands. Tenants of Galeria Młociny will include stores such as: Guess, Van Graaf and Zara. Stores selling branded care and make-up cosmetics – The Body Shop and MAC – as well as the Douglas and Sephora perfumeries will complement the extensive fashion product range. “Our new location in Bielany will be one of our flagship stores. We plan to create a space that will delight the regular and new customers with its minimalist interior and attention to the smallest detail. We will definitely use the potential of high storefronts in order to invite people to the new Solar boutique,” says Anna Kurkowska, the store chain development and operation manager, a representative of Solar. As a premium fashion brand for modern and active women, Solar has been contributing to the history of Polish fashion for years and attracting younger and younger customers every year. One of the elements promoting Solar among new customers was the metamorphosis of its visual identification, a logo change and a distinctive campaign featuring Ola Rudnicka as the lead. While preparing collections designers of the brand often draw inspiration from culture, travel and history of art. The trademark of the brand is the exceptional attention to detail and the finishing. Solar currently has 71 own stores, 19 franchise ones and 71 partner stores in Poland and abroad. The company designs five seasonal collections every year: spring, summer, autumn, winter and carnival – supplemented with a business line and accessories. New, mixed-use centre of Bielany Galeria Młociny will combine 220 favourite shops and service outlets, comfortable offices, a medical centre, playgrounds, a fitness club, restaurants and cafes, a trampoline park and the first multiplex cinema in the district within a friendly and green area. Galeria Młociny is distinguished by an innovative approach in the design of meeting places, entertainment and gastronomy. Its restaurant and entertainment space, which occupies the entire +2 floor and is connected with the green roof garden, has been divided into various functional zones. Architects from the renowned Broadway Malyan studio transferred the atmosphere of cosy cafes, street-food and eating out as well as outdoor dining among greenery to Warsaw"s Bielany district. This is the first concept of its kind in Poland. The mall is being developed right next to the Młociny hub – one of the places with the best transport links in Warsaw, with direct access to the underground, numerous tram lines and bus routes, suburban and national buses, a bicycle station and a P&R car park. It is the most important transfer location for the northern part of the city and satellite towns and it is used by over 24 mln passengers every year. Galeria Młociny is more than 75-pct leased already. Investors of Galeria Młociny are: EPP (70 pct shares) and Echo Investment (30 pct shares). The former company will manage the newly-opened complex. The latter one is fully responsible for the development process and leasing.
