Menya Musashi joins Galeria Młociny
Menya Musashi joins Galeria Młociny

Fans of ramen and Japanese cuisine will soon have their spot in the capital Bielany. The restaurant of the well-known Menya Musashi chain will open in Galeria Młociny, a shopping and entertainment complex in Warsaw, adjacent to the Młociny metro station. Galeria Młociny is already over 75% leased.

Named after the samurai Miyamoto Musashi, the restaurant debuted in Tokyo in 1996. The restaurant serving Japanese cuisine is famous in Japan and abroad for its substantial and expressive ramen, which can be eaten in a white, red or black version in Menya Musashi.

"A well thought-out strategy of selecting tenants in the restaurant zone at Galeria Młociny will enable us to promote it as a fashionable place in a truly urban style. The presence of Menya Musashi on our list of tenants will significantly strengthen the offer and it will allow Galeria Młociny to effectively distinguish itself from its competition", comments Marcin Kopczyk, Senior Leasing Manager at Echo Investment"s Shopping Centres Department.

The app. 250 sqm restaurant with a small outdoor garden will be part of Karuzela na Bielanach – one of the zones which form the restaurant and entertainment space of Galeria Młociny. Architects from Broadway Malyan, the authors of the concept which will be the basis for creating this part of the complex, emphasize that the bright, friendly, filled with greenery and inspired by picnics in Bielany Karuzela is a proposal for those who value the celebration of moments with family and friends. Playgrounds for children will be an important element thereof. Just like the other zones – Hala Hutnik and Bielańskie Dechy – Karuzela will also be open to the public roof garden. The developer of the project, Echo Investment, announces that the garden with several thousand square meters, planted with shrubs and trees, is designed to host culinary and cultural events throughout the year.

"Menya Musashi decided to launch its premises in Warsaw's Bielany district because the concept of the restaurant and the brand's offer are perfectly in line with the innovative concept of the restaurant area of Galeria Młociny. We are convinced that factors such as very good location of the building, next to a transport hub and a metro station as well as the significant flow of potential customers related to it, will contribute to the success of Menya Musashi's brand on the restaurant market in the capital city", says Karolina Stankiewicz, Consultant at Retail Space Leasing and Tenant Representation Department at JLL.

New, mixed-use centre of Bielany

Galeria Młociny is a new, mixed-use centre of Bielany. The place will combine 220 favourite shops and service outlets, comfortable offices, a medical centre, playgrounds, a fitness club, restaurants and cafes, a trampoline park and the first multiplex cinema in the district within a friendly and green area.

'Galeria Młociny, which is implemented by EPP in cooperation with Echo Investment, is a unique location on the map of northern Warsaw, where there is a shortage of places that would combine the shopping, entertainment and recreation as well as cultural functions. After putting it into operation in H1 2019, the project will enrich the public space in Bielany, it will become an important centre of social life and, hopefully, one of the most visited shopping centres in Warsaw', says Marek Gładki, the Director of Leasing and Asset Management at EPP which is the majority shareholder of Galeria Młociny.

Galeria Młociny is distinguished by an innovative approach in the design of meeting places, entertainment and gastronomy. Its restaurant and entertainment space, which occupies the entire +2 floor and is connected with the green roof garden, has been divided into various functional zones. Architects from the renowned Broadway Malyan studio transferred the atmosphere of cosy cafes, street-food and eating out as well as outdoor dining among greenery to Warsaw"s Bielany district. This is the first concept of its kind in Poland.

The mall is being developed right next to the Młociny hub – one of the places with the best transport links in Warsaw, with direct access to the underground, numerous tram lines and bus routes, suburban and national buses, a bicycle station and a P&R car park. It is the most important transfer location for the northern part of the city and satellite towns and it is used by over 24 mln passengers every year.

Investors of Galeria Młociny are: EPP (70 pct shares) and Echo Investment (30 pct shares). The former company will manage the newly-opened complex. The latter one is fully responsible for the development process and leasing.
