First tenant in Symetris Business Park in Łódź

The Symetris Business Park office building has a new tenant. Nordea has leased an area of nearly 3,000 sqm in the project which is carried out by Echo Investment in Łódź. The tenant was represented by the Collier International consulting agency in the transaction.

“It is double good news. The first positive aspect are new jobs  which will be created by Nordea and the second good news is the fact that quite a large area has been leased in the office building, which is still under construction. We believe that the positive news will contribute to a decision to launch of the second stage of the Symetris building. Everything points to the fact that a good time has come for office space developers in Łódź,” says Hanna Zdanowska, mayor of Łódź.

“The contract concluded by Echo Investment and Nordea Operations Centre starts the commercialization process of Symetris Business Park. We conduct advanced negotiations with companies interested in leasing an area in our project in Łódź,” comments Paweł Milcarz, senior leasing manager in Echo Investment’s Office and Hotel Department.

“More and more office space in Łódź is leased by companies from the sector of modern business services. It confirms a revival on the Łódź real estate market, which could be observed in entire 2015. Leading international outsourcing players consider Łódź to be a very good place for the development of their organizations and services,” says Marcin Włodarczyk, regional director at Colliers International in Łódź.

Symetris Business Park is being developed on Piłsudskiego Avenue – the main traffic route in the city which connects the city centre with two largest districts in Łódź – Widzew and Retkinia. The original name of the project was Aurus but it was redesigned and it is currently being developed in accordance with a new concept created by architects from Pracownia Architektury, Urbanistyki i Wnętrz B’ART. The two office buildings which are part of the complex will offer a combined area of 19,000 sqm.

Nordea Operations is an operations centre which is part of the Nordea group and provides services to Scandinavian branches of the bank.
