Rossmann – the most popular chain of chemist shops in Poland – will extend the offer of Galeria Libero, which is being developed by Echo Investment in the south of Katowice.

The Rossmann chemist shop will be located on level 0 and it will occupy a unit with an area of nearly 550 sqm. “Rossmann is a popular and well liked chain of chemist shops offering a friendly and modern format. Its broad range of products and high customer service standards make it a valuable tenant of our facility as one of its most fundamental assumptions is the sense of comfort and friendliness. However, Libero is meant not only to fulfil shopping expectations. First of all it will be a spot for meetings and spending free time actively and creatively. Thus our tenant mix consists of popular chains, local companies and completely new concepts, one example of which will be the first in Poland sport & social pub of Arkadiusz Milik,” says Marek Gładki, director of the commercialization and marketing team in Echo Investment"s Shopping Centre Department. The first Rossmann shop in Poland was opened on Piotrkowska Street in Łódź in 1993, where the company"s current seat is still located. Rossmann is the leader of its industry, the chain has over 1,100 shops and it opens the following 150 outlets every year. The company employs app. 16,500 people in its shops, warehouses and the company"s headquarters and its 2015 turnover exceeded PLN 7.3 bln. The construction of Galeria Libero has been in progress from July this year. Its first stage involved the preparation of the work: the buildings at the site were demolished, the power grid and the water supply network were relocated and the contractor's temporary plant and facilities were organized. The work was on schedule and now it has entered its most important stage – the construction of the structural part of the facility. The first stage involved the construction of foundations of Galeria Libero. The foundation stone was officially laid on October 18th. Regardless of the construction process, advanced commercialization is in progress. More than 40 pct of the retail area has already been leased. Contracts have been signed with: Helios SA – the operator of a modern cinema multiplex, Fabryka Formy – a chain of fitness clubs and Media Mark – the leader in electronics, the Smyk chain, iDream Apple Premium Reseller and Sony Centre. The list of tenants representing the fashion industry is being extended. The investor has signed a letter of intent with MK Bowling. Libero will also include the very popular in Silesia Apteka Europejska pharmacy as well as "Food & Ball" – an innovative concept of Arkadiusz Milik, a football representative of Poland who plays for Napoli. Libero Katowice. New shopping experience Galeria Libero is a new, exciting place on the retail map of Katowice – a fresh look at shopping, entertainment, recreation and sport. It is a friendly and comfortable space which is thoroughly modern in terms of design, however, represents a classic aesthetic approach. It is a place for meetings, inspiration, fascination and simply enjoying yourself. More than 150 shops, numerous restaurants, cafes, clubs, a cinema multiplex, squash and badminton courts, a fitness club and a billiards club – Libero is the only one place in the region to have such an extensive sports and recreational offer. It also has a modern city square which features fountains, an amphitheatre, a skate park, an ice-rink as well as places for recreation, stationary games and other outdoor activities.
